Job Interview Skills Course

(Set yourself apart from the competition)

This course is intended for anyone, from those who have no job interviewing skills to moderate and experienced job and role seekers who want to refine their interviewing skills. No one usually tells you why or how to say what you do during job interviews. While all industries and organizations have their unique cultures, way of doing things, and expectations during interviews, there are foundational interview strategies, techniques, and best practices. As a result, this course will provide you the reasons behind and strategies and techniques to use during interviews. In addition, this course will cover (based on participants’ needs) other exercises included in job interviews and what some organizations call assessment centers to evaluate for potential roles in an organization. These additional exercises include role plays or simulations, presentations, meetings, in-tray or in-basket exercises, group discussions, and mind-mapping to help prepare for any scenario.

Benefits from attending this course:

  • Understand why and how employers use interviews and/or assessment centers, whether for line-level or promotional roles.
  • Gain foundational job interview skills, to include why and how to prepare and respond.
  • Learn and use practical tools, strategies, and techniques when answering and responding during interviews and assessment centers (hands-on practice during course).
  • Real-world examples and hands-on practice in the hot seat that will net you invaluable experience.
  • Learn the different assessments that employers may implement during a hiring process.
  • More importantly, learn how the knowledge and skills gained from this course will transfer into your new roles—this course is essentially employee and leadership development!

Who should attend:

  • This course is designed for any industry type—these are interviewing and assessment center concepts that focus on foundational skills and abilities, not your particular industry. You will be able to apply these skills and abilities to any industry or role.
  • This course is for those interviewing for a new job or promoting within their current organizations.
  • Those who have no or very little experience with job interviews. This will be a great foundational, and then some, course.
  • Those with some experience with job interviews but still need to refine their skill sets.
  • Even those experienced with job interviews who would like new strategies and tactics for upcoming interviews.
  • Anyone who has an upcoming job interview or promotional process that may include a potential assessment center. Even if you have experience with assessment centers, it’s always good to practice your knowledge, skills, and abilities for optimal results.
